Originally from China, Meyer lemons are thin skinned, slightly sweeter and more floral than more common varieties. They are believed to be a cross between a lemon and Mandarin orange. Martha Stewart made them popular. Laconiko’s multi award winning Meyer Lemon Infused Olive Oil is like you picked and squeezed fresh lemons on your dish. You can use it for lemon bread pudding, chicken marinade, mixed in any type of hummus, over grilled salmon, and simply drizzled over greens.

Trace elements are tiny cogs in the working wheels of an efficient immune system. Vitamins are necessary for energy production, immune function, blood clotting and other functions, while minerals play an important role in growth, bone health, fluid balance and several other processes. Small but mighty, these trace vitamins, minerals are only needed in minute amounts to support health and growth, but are often missing from our meals. Getting them from multiple sources ensures that your daily meals are truly health supporting.
MEYER LEMON PEEL is rich in vitamins C and d-limonene, pectin, and several minerals. Potent antioxidant promote immunity and are linked with reduced risk of heart disease and Type 2 Diabetes. D-limonene increases enzyme activity reducing oxidative stress associated with tissue damage and accelerated aging. As antimicrobial and anti fungal agents, extract of lemon peel regulates harmful bacteria. Studies indicate activity in eliminating gallstone and anticancer potential.
High Phenolic EVOO used in each Laconiko infused blend is a significant source of micronutrients and polyphenols having antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, neuroprotective, anticancer, antidiabetic, and antimicrobial properties. It is an excellent source of vitamin E and vitamin K, a good ratio of Omega 6 and Omega 3. Phenolic compounds are also active in promoting healthy gut microbiota by reducing the abundance of pathogenic bacteria, stimulating the growth of beneficial bacteria, and increasing the production of microbially produced short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs).
Internationally award winning for taste, Laconiko Extra Virgin Olive Oil is Aristoleo-Datalok Certified High Phenolic. The phenolic content accounts for the pungent taste which causes a peppery sensation in the throat and sometimes bitterness to the tongue.
